Holiday Cards Available for Order and ON SALE! September 15, 2008
These have been on the to-do list since the week after LAST Christmas. They will be glossy (on the outside), folded cards. They have all been uploaded to the site and if you place an order before October 15 you will receive 10% off. Never before has Christmas card ordering been easier. You just send me your photos (favorites from the past year are great) and I’ll do the rest. And come to think of it, I could use your help. One of these will no doubt be my actual Christmas card (even though it will be completely spoiled for those on my list who have seen it already)—help me pick! I think I have two favorites but I’d love to know what you think. Thank you!!

New! Patchwork Numbers September 4, 2008
I get requests for number tees all the time, and haven’t done them because they are already being done by so many others…in catalogs especially. But I have often wondered how I could give them a bit of a twist. Finally, a friend in Birmingham suggested I do Patchwork numbers. Duh. Why didn’t I think of that? (Thanks Kathy!) And you can choose from three design options. The number directly on the garment (super cute on lower pant leg), in a scalloped circle (mix & match pattern and solid however you like) or in a square (same mix & match option). As you can see, there are a few new swatches here too, that haven’t made it to the site, and this whole numbers thing probably won’t get there for a while either. So, just email me if you need to order one (or 2 or 3, or 4,5,6…ha) kathryn@katinthehatdesigns.com
Busy Busy September 1, 2008
Lordy lordy. Life is BUSY. The Hannah Kate show has come and gone, the “factory” is crankin’ away, hubby is traveling for work more than I care to talk about (ergh), kids are in the school schwing and there’s no slowing down in site. Sassy started ballet (cutest thing EVER) and Stinky will be playing Fall ball soon…hubby has another house project going (as always) and I will be doing some traveling with Kat in the Hat in the coming months. It’s pretty much go-go-go, 24/7…and I have to ask myself, is this how is should be? Sometimes I think I may need stay in bed all day and read a great book, eat icecream and pretend that all this busy-ness isn’t really happening…or forget work and spend a week dreaming up fun things to do with the kids. Alas, as good as that looks on paper the reality of it is, we will continue to be crazy busy and will just sneak little moments of rest and fun here and there. I’m not alone, I know this. I don’t know another person who doesn’t feel this way most of the time! Cup half full. Cup half full…I continue the mantra
Here are the Patchwork Collegiate designs I said I was going to post a million years ago:
